New trade route is being built between Russia and India: 30 Billion Investment, 3300 km Railway line, 6000 Km Road

Be it the dispute with China or the war in Ukraine, the world is witnessing an example of friendship between India and Russia. Now this friendship is getting stronger, Iran is making a lifeline between In After the trade route from Russia through Iran to India is ready, these three countries will be able to trade easily with each other, ignoring the American sanctions. Once this route is built, India will be able to bypass Europe and trade with Russia. Not only this, in the past goods were transported from Saint Petersburg in Russia to Mumbai in India using this route.

This new trade route will greatly reduce the transit time of goods between India and Russia. According to a report in the Japanese newspaper Nikkei, Russia and Iran plan to respond appropriately to US plans to move supply chains to their allies and friends through this new trade route. Iran has started work on its country's 3,300-kilometer long railway at a rapid pace. An Iranian official recently said that the 560 km section of the railway line will be ready by March this year.

Once this route is ready, it will be easy for goods to travel to India through the Iranian highway. After the completion of all these projects, Iran's railway network will increase by 20 percent. Similarly, the work of the 6,000 km long highway is also being done at a fast pace. Out of which 1000 km part will be completed by March of this year.In addition, a 4-lane highway connecting the Caspian Sea with the Persian Gulf was opened in 2022. Iran hopes to become a transportation hub between Asia, Russia and Europe. In 2002, an agreement was reached between India, Russia and Iran.

After this agreement, the foundation stone of the International North-South Transport Corridor was laid. With this, India will be connected to Russia through Iran and Azerbaijan and there will be no need for the Suez Canal. Iran and Russia are spending billions of dollars to build this trade route. This route has started to be used a lot now.Russian and Iranian ships have been spotted in the Caspian Sea. In the midst of the Ukraine war, both Russia and Iran are under a lot of pressure from Western countries. It is said that both countries are investing 25 billion dollars (about 30 trillion) to build this entire route.

After the construction of this route, Russia's journey to the Indian Ocean will be easier and it will be able to trade quickly with the Gulf and African countries. This is also the reason why Russian President Vladimir Putin himself is focused on this path. Earlier in July, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with his Iranian counterpart. Both leaders agreed to complete the Rasht-Astara rail link in northern Iran.
